We are pleased to feature the photography of Ed Beier in Capturing the Light: The Art of Photography. Ed’s work captures the quiet beauty of the world around us, often finding depth and meaning in the simple and familiar. His photographs invite viewers to slow down and see the extraordinary in everyday moments.
While Ed may not be able to join us in person at the Opening Reception on Friday, September 12, his work will be on display as an important part of this show. We hope you’ll take the time to experience his artistry and the vision he brings to photography.

I have been photographing for 75 years, working primarily in black & white. I attempt to capture what I am seeing, a vision or feeling that resonates to me in that brief moment of exposure. I was once told that I take so many great photographs - I really don’t! I heavily edit what I have taken and may have gone through 5,000 or more images to create a show of 20 photographs. Then, I hope, I may stimulate a response from the observer; perhaps they will come to understand a different perspective.
