New Catagory for Western Art Show

The Red Bluff Bull & Gelding Sale will once again host the Tehama County Cattlewomen's Western Art Show, running from January 21-25, 2025. This event, a staple for both art lovers and those passionate about the ranching lifestyle, invites artists to submit works that celebrate the Western Ranching Lifestyle.

What's New This Year? Introducing the Plein Air Contest! On Thursday, January 23rd, artists will create their works live and in the open air, capturing the essence of the Western spirit. This special contest is set to be a highlight, with the People's Choice Award to be announced on Saturday, January 25th.

Divisions and CategoriesThe show is divided into two main categories: 2D and 3D artwork, with classes for Oil, Watercolor, Pencil, Pastel, Mixed Media, Photography, Digital Art, and Fine Craft such as Leatherwork, Silversmithing, Braiding, and Metal/Bronze Sculpture. Ribbons will be awarded for each class, and an overall Best in Show will be selected for each division.

Key Details:

  • Entry Fee: $25 per piece (for all divisions).

  • Entry Deadline: December 15, 2024.

  • Set-Up: January 20, 2025, from 10 AM to 4 PM.

  • Art Removal: January 25th after 5 PM and January 26th until 12 noon.
